“Faith”

 

 

Feelings of despair may fill your core, thoughts of revenge may plague your soul, sadness may be drowning in your mind and words of anger may come to your lips.

But, choose to try understanding exactly why your spirit has allowed these awful things to enter. Did you allow them in?? Did you not try hard enough to change your thinking?? what could you do to reverse this darkness???

 

Questions remain unanswered, it becomes frustrating. You need answers; you require the truth as we all do! Ok, now where can we find them? look to GOD first. Trust in his compassion to heal your personal stress. Next, look to a friend, a family member that will take the time to listen to your heart, not your words. They may not have the perfect remedy to what is troubling you, but I assure you just the thought that someone cares enough to be there for you is all you might need to bring clarity to a somewhat cloudy situation.

 

I have found in my life when I have been in my darkest hour, GOD has pulled me through. And without question, the support and love of family and friends makes it so much better.

An analogy would be; your friends and family are all the vitally important nurses and other staff that make a major contribution to a successful surgery. But, then the surgeon comes in to repair your issue and that surgeon is GOD………………..He knows what you need to make things better, allow him the opportunity. Embrace our LORD with your heart and soul and trust me; you will find no better friend and confidant.

 

Questions will have resolution, sadness will be eased, heartache will be comforted and light will shine through those dark clouds you may be seeing now.

Having faith and trust in things and people that are so much larger than yourself is

key. You will never have closure without opening doors to your heart, mind and soul.

 

Peace is a heartbeat away, answers are there just waiting for you to listen and comfort may be found in the miracle of FAITH.

 

May you all find peace of spirit, and hope in a new day that leads to a new beginning

“GOD’S RAINBOW”

For those of us that love the crisp morning air brushing your cheek ever so softly, the beauty of the break of sun softly caressing the sky, the whisper of the wind telling us a new day has begun, the sound of birds frolicking abundantly through the trees and the artwork that fills the sky with color and radiance beyond words. Hopefully this piece will move you as this beautiful Palm Sunday morning  moved me to create.

This in my opinion is GOD’S gift to all of us; to be able to feel that each new day we exist with all the beauty that is given is nothing short of being a fortunate human being.  What we are able to see as we walk through life becomes a very powerful humbling part of this travel through this masterpiece called life………. I am sure at some point you must have felt the beauty and exhilaration of a new day, haven’t you???? I find with every step I take in this journey I am more in awe than the previous steps I have taken. If that is at all possible.

So, I ask you friends; when do we give up HOPE for promise of a bright and beautiful world where honesty, forgiveness and love all walk hand and hand???? A world where we encourage our children, grandchildren, spouses, fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers to all live and walk in the path of PROMISE, HOPE AND FAITH. I impress you to leave all bitterness and sadness behind because they are so unworthy pieces of luggage to carry for a trail so filled with ELEGANCE and BEAUTY.

Life is full of joy, and yes, it also has elements of disappointment.  But, I’m understanding and agreeing more with my beliefs as a child that it is so much easier to extinguish all the anxiety and live life in an enviornment where yes; rainbows and lollipops are happiness.

As a child I was incessantly made fun of for numerous reasons (my nose, my feet) who knows whatever else they deemed hilarious at the time. I say, let them have the chuckle at my expense. In the end who cares; I mean I was proud of my big snoot ( I thought I was Barbara Steisand anyway, with a voice that could match) and also my large or might I say BIG clown feet were the topic of grand humor at it’s best. Yet, through all the ribbing; I for some odd reason, never got angry.

I chose to let it go. Could I have been that smart as a kid; NO, I just didn’t want to waste time. I found laughing, being the silly little goofball I was tended to be soooooo  much more fun than dwelling on harsh words said or things that were done to me. You see time was far more important in my young silly world.  AHHHH yes; time, that precious valuable gift given that many of us waste.

Waste no more everyone. Seize the day, the week, the month, a LIFETIME with a new spirit that’s filled with joy, peace, forgiveness, laughter, positivity, faith and always savor the beauty of

“Finding Your Way”

Do you feel you are attempting things that are out of your reach?

Are you feeling deserted by family and friends, maybe you are losing sight of reality. Feeling the pain of  lost loved ones or friends?? Do you struggle daily to make ends meet???

There are a plethora of questions that you can ask yourself. Or you can try to find resolution hopefully by not just  grasping at air. These can be frustrating times of your life when you want to hide, escape or run away, thinking they will disappear as well if you do!!

Let’s try to find answers together;

 

Every aspect of your life that is confusing, overwhelming and requiring answers to questions that are unresolved, becomes mentally tormenting. The answers are there, you just need to take the time to find them in your heart…… I have always said God speaks to us; we just need to LISTEN. Hear his voice in the quiet whispers of night,  feel his calming hand in the touch of a friend reaching out to you, see his compassion at work through a stranger that has just offered you HOPE when you felt there was none to be had. His presence is anywhere you seek it to be. His love is never-ending, the promise he will give you shall never be broken.

The faith you will have in yourself will also guide you, use this to your advantage. The energy that comes

from your soul so freely when you allow it in, will be OUTSTANDING. You will conquer anything or anyone that gets in your way of reaching your stars!!

 

I know  we all have felt like we are drowning in our own sadness and it will take so very long to climb out of those dark shadows. This couldn’t be further from the truth. When defeat has left a mark on your spirit, you must fight back with courage and faith. Please know your destiny is in the hands of such a higher power, that will never allow the word DEFEAT enter your path. Light will shine through and you will see hope waiting there at your grasp; just take your hand and feel what has been given. It is there, your PRAYERS will be answered, but look for them. Don’t think it should all come so easy. Life is a task, we are meant to be champions as I have said many many times before. Every champion falters, but, they get up, regroup and rest assure they will WIN. As you too will if you just keep your thoughts clear, your body strong and your faith in tact. Giving up is for those that lost their way; they may need YOU more than you need to give in to your fears and sadness. HELP ANOTHER IS MY MESSAGE. Be SELFLESS FOR TODAY.

FInd your strength in the arms of another who has lost theirs……………….

TODAY IS THE 15TH BIRTHDAY OF A LITTLE BOY THAT BROUGHT SO MANY AMAZING GIFTS TO MYSELF, PAUL, STEPHANIE, PETER AND HIS NONNI.

HE GAVE A VERY SPECIFIC GIFT TO ME; HE SHOWED ME THAT THROUGH A WORLD WHERE HUMANS CAN BE SO COLD AND CALCULATING THERE WOULD BE THIS TINY LITTLE 3 LB BABY WITH A BEAUTIFUL WHITE COAT OF HAIR, THE MOST GORGEOUS EYES YOU HAVE EVER SEEN, AN ADORABLE BUTTON BLACK NOSE, AND A HEART THAT WAS A MI ILION TIMES LARGER THAN HIS DIMINUTIVE SIZE; HE SHOWED ME THAT UNLIKE HUMANS, THESE PRECIOUS BABIES GIVE US HOPE THAT THIS  WORLD WE LIVE IN IS KIND, CARING, LOVING, AND LOYAL. YES MY FRIENDS A TINY LITTLE MALTESE PUPPY TAUGHT ME SO MUCH. I AM EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT IT. BUT, IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF THE TRUTH. IT WAS AND STILL IS AN HONOR TO HAVE LOVED HIM. MY JOY AND HAPPINESS; BABY COTTON………….

HIS BIRTHDAY IS SO SPECIAL BECAUSE THE LIFE HE SHARED WITH US HERE MADE A DIFFERENCE. HE CHANGED THE WAY WE ARE, THE WAY WE THINK AND HOW WE HANDLE THINGS. HE MOSTLY TAUGHT ME TO BE A BETTER HUMAN BEING AND HOW TO TRULY LOVE ANOTHER WITHOUT HESITANCE.

 

I HAVE ALWAYS SAID THAT IN THIS LIFE THE ONE THING YOU SHOULD LEAVE AS  A LEGACY IS THE IMPACT YOU HAVE MADE ON OTHERS, THE MARK YOU HAVE LEFT BEHIND THAT WILL DWELL IN SOMEONE’S SOUL. WELL, BABY COTTON LEFT HIS MARK AND HIS AMAZING IMPACT RIGHT HERE ON THIS EARTH FOR ME AND ANYONE THAT LOVED HIM.

 

HIS LIFE, HIS BEAUTY, HIS INCREDIBLE COURAGE AND STRENGTH THROUGH ALL HE WENT THROUGH PHYSICALLY WAS SO INSPIRING.

HOW HE ENDURED ALL THE PHYSICAL SETBACKS AND YET STILL PLAYED, GAVE JOY, GAVE HOPE AND LOVE TO ALL OF US, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!

 

HE WAS THE TRUE GIFT GIVER OF THE FAMILY. WE COULD NEVER GIVE HIM ANYTHING OF SUBSTANTIAL VALUE BACK MATERIALISTICALLY WE COULD ONLY OFFER OUR LOVE AND OUR HEARTS. AND I KNOW THAT IS ALL HE EVER WANTED.

 

LIKE I HAVE ALWAYS SAID; THE MOST AMAZING WONDERFUL GIFTS ARE THOSE FROM THE HEART THAT COST NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure at some point in your life an emotion, a look, a scent, a vision has overwhelmed you… If it hasn’t, you surely do not know what you are missing.

Everyday you take a breath, GOD HAS GIVEN YOU GLORIOUS THINGS TO BEHOLD. Whether it be a snow-capped mountain sitting at the threshold of heaven, an azure sky that is setting at twilight, the beauty of the ocean sweeping across the sand so softly, or hearing your child’s breath as he sleeps with his head nestled on your chest. Maybe for some, it is the greeting you receive after a long hard day from your furry friends. I could name many beautiful things to experience in this magnificent journey called life!!

What is your pleasure? what do you find intriguing? what brings a smile to your face? Try and look to these things, don’t waste energy focusing on all the negativity when there lies all this radiance at your grasp……Be more observant and make time to enjoy and mostly savor all the happiness and grandeur there is in the simple things. In life we seem to let things whisper away during our day and never take note of what a real blessing it is or realizing how much happiness a moment or visualization can offer your senses. Take this to the bank friends; life is a series of moments that often may never be recaptured, take what is given and treasure it in the here and now!!!

Seize today and find your joy, look for it, most likely it is right in front of you. It is the simple things that bring the MOST PLEASURE, not from materialistic items store-bought. They are just a temporary fix, believe that…..GODS GIFTS WILL CERTAINLY make you smile and feel at peace with yourself and the world.

Every one of us has many things we enjoy that will bring content to the soul. Allow this to happen, make the time; I do daily, I find happiness in GODS LOVE FIRST then I enjoy all he gives me

“Once upon a Memory”

 

 

It can all seem so distant and vague the things we choose to recollect from our past, or is it that we want it this way???

 

The question is, what do we choose to rekindle in our memory bank. Do we opt for sad remembrances, joyous occasions, or a touch of both to balance life’s scale????

 

I believe it is good to keep both as a reminder that we have emotion and feelings for all that was GREAT and all we endured that has been difficult in our life’s journey. For when we recollect sadness and bad issues that we have skirted around for so long we can also ask ourselves a question, is this baggage meant for me to carry?? Some sad memories are truly meant to be dismissed. Others we can keep till we find forgiveness to let them go. But, on a postive note, don’t you believe that these particular incidences you tag along with you have developed your character in some way to help create WHO YOU ARE and even more important made you a stronger individual?? We can always find sunshine in the rain.

 

We tend to try so hard to forget the past hardships, tears we shed, lost words never spoken, things that were done and said out of anger. Things that we can’t erase and wish we could. So possibly, instead of burying our past in a box, we should attempt to face it and it will prove to be not so bad after all. Facing our closet skeletons, just might be the thing we NEED and not the thing we should avoid.

 

If we choose to dance around bad past experiences and never facing them at all; they will just stay in your personal luggage trunk. DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT? I know how difficult facing your bogeymen can be; trust me on this one. However, releasing them all will be a tremendous weight off your life not just your shoulders.

 

These pains, anguishing struggles that you carry with you are obstacles you are allowing to hinder your progress. They will continually be a road block, believe this. Open up your Pandora’s box and let out each thing, only one at a time and confront your fears and pain, then SAY GOOD BYE TO THEM.

 

Find forgiveness for yourself and others in each sad memory you have. Seek  courage to deal with each hardship you have encountered and find GOD’S STRENGTH in every tear you have shed……

 

It may not be a complete answer to your occasional blues, but, I rest assure all of you; your spirit will be filled with peace and content and your heart will know GODS LOVE and COMPASSION AS WELL.

 

And Friends, as for all of your fond memories; well, that is self explanatory; SAVOR THEM, TREASURE THEM LIKE FINE JEWELS, FEEL BLESSED AND HONORED TO HAVE HAD THEM, KEEP YOUR PHOTO ALBUM IN YOUR HEART AND MIND AND LOOK AT IT ALWAYS. THEY ARE PRICELESS AND NO ONE CAN EVER TAKE THIS KIND OF HAPPINESS FROM YOU EVER.

Relive the good times as much and as long as you like. It is GREAT for the soul.

 

Smile that you have wonderful treasures that lie in your memory, feel blessed you were given these gifts and also understand, don’t take valuable moments for granted. They truly are priceless. And remember, that in our lives along with our blessings must come obstacles, this is a reality…….However, you were given the ability and courage to deal with and face them, knowing that obstacles are a process in our journey as well. It is all an experience that is vital to our existence.

 

But friends, you DO NOT NEED to carry baggage around with you always. This was not what GOD INTENDED. The journey was meant for you to learn, encourage others through your wisdom, help others with the lesson’s you have learned and inspire all you come in contact with your words…………..

EVERY BREATH WE TAKE IN THIS LIFE IS SUCH A GIFT, THAT IT AMAZES ME DAILY.

 

I AM FINDING AS I AGE, I SEEK THIS RAGING DESIRE AND AMBITION FOR THINGS I HAVEN’T YET HAD THE CHANCE TO CONQUEST YET. OK, IT MAY NOT NECESSARILY HAPPEN IN THE IMMEDIATE  FUTURE BUT, THAT’S OK. SLOWLY BUT SURELY IS MY MOTTO!! 

 

I STILL WILL SEEK OUT MY PASSION AND ZEST FOR LIFE IN ALL I DO REGARDLESS OF MY SOMEWHAT LACK OF ENERGY OR MY SNAIL LIKE MOVEMENT TOWARDS IT. THE POINT IS; I WILL STILL MAKE AN ATTEMPT. THAT IS WHAT IS IMPORTANT. FINDING WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH IT IS KEY.

 

IT IS DIFFICULT ENOUGH TO FIND THE PERFECT JOB WE LOVE ; SO, LETS MAKE IT EASY TO AT LEAST SEEK OUT THE THINGS OF GREAT INTEREST TO US AND FOLLOW THEM. FOLLOW IT TILL YOU FINALLY FIND IT. NEVER GIVE UP ON DREAMS THAT YOU FEEL ARE SO CLOSE IN REACH AND EVEN THE ONES THAT SEEM A UNIVERSE AWAY. LOOK AT IT AS IF IT WERE MORE OF A CHALLENGE. NOTHING LIKE A GREAT CHALLENGE TO START ANYONE’S ENGINE, RIGHT??

 

SO, HAVE YOU EVER HAD A STRONG DESIRE AND YOU EXPRESSED IT TO ANOTHER AND ALL YOU HEARD WAS “HOW IMPOSSIBLE THAT IS”?? HOW THEY DON’T THINK YOU CAN PULL IT OFF, OR BETTER YET THEY DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE GOOD ENOUGH AT WHATEVER IT IS YOU CHOOSE TO DO??

I SAY HUMBUG TO THOSE THAT TRY TO PULL YOU DOWN. MOST LIKELY THERE MIGHT BE SOME ENVY ATTACHED TO THEIR SARCASM OR NEGATIVITY TOWARDS YOUR GREAT AMBITION FOR PERSONAL SUCCESS.

 

I CAN’T EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH; WHATEVER IT IS THAT INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE THIS JOURNEY THAT WE UNDERTAKE DAILY EVEN MORE MAGNIFICENT THAN IT IS ALREADY; PLEASE, I IMPLORE YOU TO GO FOR IT!!!!!

Well, I sure do. It is just WONDERFUL; with ALL THE FESTIVITIES, THE TERRIFIC FOOD THAT ACCOMPANIES THIS BEAUTIFUL TIME OF YEAR AND THE FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT MAKE THIS MAGICAL DAY COMPLETE.

 

The most special of times are those after when I have a chance to reflect on all the amazing miracles that happen because of CHRISTMAS!!!!

The joy I feel to know OUR LORD HAS COME; BRINGS PEACE TO MY HEART AND SOUL. The laughter of seeing friends and family open presents that made them smile, the comfort of the food that was served that made all go YUMMMMMM. The happiness of thinking even for one day THE WORLD WOULD FIND PEACE, COMPASSION FOR OTHERS AND LOVE IN THEIR HEART FOR MANKIND. You see, regardless of religion, the commonality is; we all share the HAPPINESS AND JOY OF CHRISTMAS. IT TRULY IS UNIVERSAL!!!

So friends, before we all tuck away our trees and box away our ornaments and decorations; take time to reflect the wonderful memories, the joy you shared with so many, the love you felt in each precious moment and all the laughter you shared with friends and family. And for me, it was MY CHRISTMAS MIRACLE THAT MADE IT JUST PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL AND SO GRATEFUL TO GOD for the SPECIAL GIFT HE BROUGHT TO ME!!!!!!!!! 

 

Isn’t true friends, our spirits should make MERRY EVERYDAY and this beautiful CHRISTMAS SPIRIT SHOULD LIVE IN OUR SOULS EVERYDAY and we should share the MAGIC OF THE SEASON ALL THE TIME, IN EVERY WAY WITH EVERYONE. Who knows; maybe our world would be a little brighter, those that were lost would find HOPE once more, maybe people would carry less anger and find more faith in their hearts, the world might live in PEACE and harmony, hearts could heal and everyone would find what miraculous happiness there is in experiencing “Christmas Everyday”

“My Christmas Miracle”

If I were to ask all of you how many made for TV movies you have seen regarding heartwarming stories about love, marriage, adoptions, families reuniting, people rekindling old relationships and miracles happening you most likely could recall quiet a few (dozen)??? and I am sure, like myself you awwwwwww’d and ahhhhhhhh’d and thought, that is beautiful and you know what? IT IS POSSIBLE!!!

 

Well, this year I have my own CHRISTMAS WISH and YES, it is too for that BEAUTIFUL MIRACLE. GOD KNOWS MY WISH AND HE HEARS MY PRAYERS AS HE WILL ALL OF YOURS IF YOU LET HIM!!!

 

My thoughts prove to me that MY FAITH IS OFF THE CHARTS, so I guess I feel ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

I CAN’T HELP AND WILL NOT EVER NOT TRUST THAT THROUGH FAITH ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

If WE as a society start to give up on HOPE; may I ask, what else do we have friends????????? I will challenge anyone to answer this.

 

I ask everyone to sit back and reflect on your life, your family, your health, your job, your friends furry and not so furry and find the BEAUTY and AMAZEMENT IN ALL THE BLESSINGS YOU HAVE BEEN HONORED WITH. I would bet if we did this on a daily basis the need for the race to get as many gifts under the tree for everyone would not be as important.

 

I myself get locked into this program of the need for an ABUNDANCE OF GIFTS to feel like this is what a GREAT CHRISTMAS IS!!. WHY?????? I truly don’t have an answer. Maybe it is about wanting to feel generous and kind to those we love. Whatever the reason, I still think we loose track of the REAL REASON FOR THE SEASON. It is OUR HOLY LORDS BIRTHDAY. A TIME FOR JOY AND CELEBRATION. Celebrating the SON OF GOD WHO GAVE US ALL THE MIRACLE OF HOPE. A HOPE for human kindness, compassion for others, knowing and experiencing deep unconditional love, feeling the joy of generosity to help another, learning forgiveness of the heart so you might heal yours, caring for a stranger that feels lost and giving from your spirit not your wallet; for that is what REALLY COUNTS…………….

You know, words are a TERRIFIC GIFT to give as well. You get the idea.

In closing; My special CHRISTMAS was the first CHRISTMAS I SPENT with my little amazing COTTON; He is MY CHRISTMAS MIRACLE THAT GOD BROUGHT INTO MY LIFE. I wouldn’t exactly TRULY KNOW THE MEANING OF PURE LOVE TILL THAT LITTLE BOY CAME INTO MY LIFE. Of all the gifts so beautiful and precious I have received through the years, the best and most INCREDIBLE GIFT FOR ME was the LOVE I found in a BEAUTIFUL 10 lb white fluffy ANGEL named BABY COTTON. He made me who I AM TODAY. For without the joy he brought me by looking into the eyes; of yes, one of GODS ANGELS HERE ON EARTH, I WOULDN’T OR COULDN’T CREATE, WRITE OR REALIZE THE SENSITIVITY IT TAKES TO PUT MY HEART ON PAPER.

WHAT A BLESSING THAT TRULY IS!!!!!!

 

I know some of you might and some of you might NOT UNDERSTAND THIS COMPLEX STATEMENT. But, the bottom line is that, I AM A MUCH NICER, COMPASSIONATE, CARING, LOVING AND MOSTLY SPIRITUAL INDIVIDUAL BECAUSE OF THAT LITTLE LIFE.
